I first learned to meditate in 1986 in London, with the Friends of the Western Buddhist Order. In 1989, having moved to Hampshire, I learned Transcendental Meditation, and my own practise is continually broadened and developed through attending numerous meditation retreats, predominantly, but not exclusively, through the Buddhist Theravaden Tradition.
I have now taught several hundred people to meditate, (see testimonials page) from all walks of life and different spiritual and religious backgrounds, since 1992. Whilst Buddhism features very much in my classes, they are in no way a religious platform.
There is, however, much within the Buddha’s teachings that addresses today’s stressful living. In fact, it wasn’t long before I realised that many people were turning to meditation to relieve stress, which is why I originally decided to train in stress management with Dorset Health Care in 1992…...
As my work and interests developed, I went on to qualify as an Advanced Person Centred Counsellor (BAC Approved) and, for four years, worked with a team of counsellors at Poole Hospital in Dorset.
In 2000, I discovered the impressive Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) - one of the major new energy psychology therapies. It has, quite literally, transformed what I can offer clients. (See EFT page).
Inspired to learn as much as I could, I trained in both the USA and UK with the founder of the therapy, Gary Craig.

I am currently a licenced Meridian Energy Practitioner and trainer for the A.A.M.E.T. (Association for the Advancement of Meridian Energy Therapies) and I can be contacted at my address in the lovely village of Haytor in Devon.
